PolitiFact Editor: It's Frustrating When Others Do Not Follow Their Own Policies Consistently

PolitiFact Editor Angie Drobnic Holan says she finds it frustrating that Twitter does not follow its own policies (bold emphasis added):

The fracas over Jones illustrates a lot, including how good reporting and peer pressure can actually force the platforms to act. And while the reasons that Facebook, Apple and others banned Jones and InfoWars have to do with hate speech, Twitter’s inaction also confirms what fact-checkers have long thought about the company’s approach to fighting misinformation.

“They’re not doing anything, and I’m frustrated that they don’t enforce their own policies,” said Angie Holan, editor of (Poynter-owned) PolitiFact.

It's a shame we haven't had the time to keep that page updated, but our research indicates PolitiFact has failed to correct the problem to any noticeable degree.
